On May 10th AMD RDNA2 refresh arrives along with Radeon RX 6950XT
We can now confirm that the rumors regarding the upcoming flagship graphics card from AMD are the Radeon RX 6950 XT graphics card, which features a new color of the reference cooling solution. This graphics card will indeed borrow the design of AMD’s Radeon RX 6800 XT Midnight Black Edition graphics card (from that we can tell, it is identical). What the first rumors did not mention though is the fact that all of the AMD’s Radeon RX 6X50 XT graphics card models are black.
A picture showing the whole new AMD’s Radeon RX family of refreshed models, those have been sent to videocardz by Disclosuzen, a source that has a nearly perfect track record. As reported by the information we received, the new three graphics card models are now set to release on 10th May, not on 20th April as earlier reported. Therefore, the date has been pushed back, but no reason for this has been said by the source. Furthermore, the AMD’s Radeon RX 6400 for the DIY market is also set to be officially released on the same day.

The new graphics cards have in common is the new memory capacity of 18 Gbps. However, we are still in the procedure of confirming the exact changes which were applied to all those new SKUs. Higher board power and higher boost clocks are still on the table.
AMD’s Radeon RX 6650 XT graphics card has a new cooler design which is also worth noticing. This graphics card is no longer a design of a single-fan, but a dual-fan. So, it matches the configuration of nearly all custom Radeon RX 6600 XT graphics card models, but this may have been required to meet the new performance and power requirements for this SKU.
The same applies to the AMD’s Radeon RX 6750 XT graphics card, now with an extra 3rd fan. It is very likely that both AMD-made graphics card models will be sold via the official store of AMD. This was not the case for the AMD’s Radeon RX 6500 XT graphics card which has a single fan reference design.

The AMD’s Radeon RX 6950 XT graphics card will come with 5120 Stream Processors. It also has a memory capacity of 16 GB which is a GDDR6 type of memory. This is a 256-bit graphics card. The memory speed of this graphics card is 18 Gbps and the TBP (Total Board Power) of the AMD’s Radeon RX 6950 XT graphics card is 350 W.
