AMD Launched Ryzen 6000 Series CPUs For Laptops

AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) revealed its new latest AMD Ryzen 6000 Series mobile CPUs that blend its Zen 3+ core with AMD’s new RDNA 2 graphics.

The new CPUs (central processing units) provide up to eleven percent more single-threaded performance, up to twenty-eight percent more multi-threaded performance, and up to 2X more graphics-related performance compared to the previous AMD Ryzen 5000 Series.

AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) showed off AMD Ryzen 6000 series CPU at its virtual event at CES 2022, which is the tech trade show in Las Vegas. Lisa Su, the CEO of Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), kicked off this event.

We have seen remarkably potential growth in PC over the past two years, Lisa Su stated, noting the industry has shipped more than about 350 million PCs in the last two years. AMD Ryzen 6000 desktop processors have also been launched in recent times.

The new AMD Ryzen laptop 6000 Series processors are built using a 6-nanometer of TSMC’s manufacturing process technology and provide better built-in graphics performance, delivering 1080p triple-A gaming as well as very good battery life, the company claimed. The in-built graphics can unlock the Accelerated Processing Units that combine a GPU (graphics processing unit) and a processing unit that is centralized in the same device.

AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) also said about the new Ryzen 7 5800X3D desktop CPU with AMD’s latest 3D V-Cache technology for first-class-level gaming performance. And it previewed the new AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processor powered by the latest Zen 4 architecture and using the new latest AM5 type AMD Socket.

AMD is now at the forefront of innovation in the PC market, providing unmatched experiences for gamers, creators, and professionals, stated Saeid Moshkelani, the senior vice president of the client business unit of AMD (Advanced Micro Devices), in a statement. The new AMD Ryzen 6000 Series CPUs bring remarkable efficiency for much impressive battery life, unbeatable optimized performance, and built-in graphics to deliver the best AMD has to provide to every type of laptop user.

AMD Ryzen 6000 Series Processors

AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) has had an edge over its rival Intel since AMD debuted its Zen architecture in 2017, as that enabled AMD’s CPUs to do more tasks and handle more workload per clock cycle than it could before. That gave it an edge that Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) has executed over multiple CPU generations.

The AMD Ryzen 6000 Series CPUs are built on the updated AMD Zen 3+ architecture, optimized to provide good performance-per-watt. These are the fastest Ryzen processors yet from AMD, with up to 5 GHz of clock speeds, up to 1.3 times better processing speeds, and up to 2.1 times faster graphics compared to the 5000 Series, which launched in 2021.

The Zen 3+ architecture delivers power with efficiency, via new adaptive power management features which adjust speed very quickly, and it has new deep sleep states which help save on power. Compared to previous-generation AMD Ryzen CPUs, the AMD Ryzen 6000 Series CPUs can use up to 30 percent less power for video conferencing. The Ryzen 6000 Series processors can provide up to 24 hours of video playback on a single charge in a quiet and cool laptop or notebook.

Featuring up to eight high-performance powerful cores, each of them capable of handling multiple tasks and workloads at the same time to provide 16 threads of processing power, AMD Ryzen 6000 Series CPUs bring better and faster performance to ultrathin laptop PCs.

Graphics Based On AMD RDNA 2 Architecture

The AMD Ryzen 6000 Series CPUs are also the 1st mobile (laptop) CPUs to feature RDNA 2 architecture-based in-built graphics. With a graphics performance up to double as fast as the previous generation, it is the world’s 1st on-chip graphics, which can smoothly play the vast majority of PC games with full HD (1080p) resolution.

Ryzen 6000 Series CPUs have an integrated display engine, which allows for ultra-high resolutions and high refresh rates. The AMD Ryzen 6000 Series CPUs can enable up to 70% faster and better triple-A gaming compared to the other competition, AMD claimed.

The CPUs use advanced DDR5 type memory for faster mobile computing, and also they have some upgraded peripherals support with USB4 and PCIe 4.0. To filter background noise they use AI noise cancellation and work with Wi-Fi 6E solutions from MediaTek and Qualcomm.

AMD Ryzen 6000 Series CPUs are the first x86 (32bit) processors to fully support advanced Windows 11 security features along with the integrated Pluton security processor from Microsoft, providing a secure system, which enables true chip-to-cloud security, Lisa Su stated. This will remove entire attack vectors on the PCs, she stated.

At the top of the product lot, the AMD Ryzen HX-Series CPUs offer optimal performance in a lightweight and thin form factor with fabulous graphics power. For the mainstream customers looking for performance on the go, the AMD Ryzen 6000 U-Series CPUs provide a blend of efficiency and performance.

A modernized line-up of the AMD Ryzen 5000 Mobile Series CPUs, improving performance with the new architecture named Zen 3 which is a new processor technology is also available for 2022.

AMD 6000 series laptop release date is February 2022. The 1st laptops which are powered by AMD Ryzen 6000 Series CPUs are expected to be available from the partners such as Dell, Asus, and HP starting in February 2022. Throughout this year, the company AMD expects the availability of broad over 200 commercial and consumer notebooks which is based on the Ryzen portfolio of 2022.

Also from the early in 2022, the AMD Ryzen 6000 Pro Series CPUs will continue to build on a long line of firsts, providing new technology and features for enterprises.

Together with the AMD (Advanced Micro Devices), Lenovo will launch the new ThinkPad Z, which is a premium business notebook, and featuring AMD Ryzen PRO 6000 Series CPUs, this spring.
